Mobile phone policy

Mobile phone policy

Approach to mobile phone use at Sydenham & Dulwich Girls GDST.

Given the growing concerns from parents, schools, and the media—particularly regarding the harmful effects of social media on mental health, friendships, and academic performance—we implemented the Yondr pouch system in 2024. This system requires pupils to store their phones in secure pouches during the school day. While pupils will retain possession of their phones, they are not be able to access them until after school hours.
